So Mariah Carey ISN’T a math-genius?…
Sense About Science, a charity focusing on the misrepresentation of science in society, pointed out that Mariah Carey misinterpreted the 2 in E=MC2 in her 2008 album title. While Mariah claimed the title represents “emancipation equals Mariah Carey times two”, mathematician Dr. David Leslie states: “The ‘two’ in the equation means C squared, not MC multiplied by two. The correct reading of the equation is E=MCC, so perhaps Mariah’s re-interpretation should have been ‘emancipation equals Mariah Carey Carey’?”
Well, let me just say how happy I am that they detected this grave error before Mariah could do any real damage.

I’d die!
OOOOOMG with the holidays and everything around it I completely forgot to share my excitement about The Rachel Zoe Project (-RZP for insiders) returning for a second season!! So now the waiting is for mid-2009.. Meanwhile, Whitney’s show The City’s premiere date is only another 6 days away (and counting..). So december 29, we can FINALLY start living our fabulous NYC lives vicariously through Miss Port. How did people even survive winter before reality-TV?! It boggles me.

Holiday stuff
I thought I would try to capture an impression of all my neat Sinterklaas gifts, as well as the Christmas decorations going on in my house. And with all of this around, I can say I’m definitely getting into the Christmas-spirit! (though all that cheesecake has left me feeling unsure about stuffing my face again in two days…)

Glass Candy
Well I went to see Glass Candy last week at Paradiso, and much to my surprise, they didn’t get sick or otherwise cancel. So that was pretty rad, and they even handed out free CD’s! I love how Ida does little dance acts during the songs, very reminiscent of our national interpretive dance-hero Penney de Jager (and question: why are there NO good videos of her anywhere??! disgrace!)
