Streetlab event
DamStyle’s photos will be featured in a Streetlab exposition/talkshow this sunday. The event carries the title ‘Streetlab - Pioneers!’ and will explore the differences between Amsterdam and New York style. Amsterdam icons and DamStyle-favourites Sonny Groo and Jean Paul Paula, among others, will attend the event.

So Mariah Carey ISN’T a math-genius?…
Sense About Science, a charity focusing on the misrepresentation of science in society, pointed out that Mariah Carey misinterpreted the 2 in E=MC2 in her 2008 album title. While Mariah claimed the title represents “emancipation equals Mariah Carey times two”, mathematician Dr. David Leslie states: “The ‘two’ in the equation means C squared, not MC multiplied by two. The correct reading of the equation is E=MCC, so perhaps Mariah’s re-interpretation should have been ‘emancipation equals Mariah Carey Carey’?”
Well, let me just say how happy I am that they detected this grave error before Mariah could do any real damage.

Bananen
“
Op de stranden van Terschelling en Ameland zijn duizenden trossen bananen aangespoeld. Het fruit is afkomstig uit tien containers die op de Noordzee van een vrachtschip waren gevallen. Zeker één container is opengebroken, met als gevolg dat sommige stranden bezaaid liggen met groene onrijpe bananen. Volgens de eilanders werden ze overvallen door “een tsunami van bananen”.
